About Our Company

Sentral Timber Protection Chemicals Sdn Bhd (STPC), formerly known as Sentral Resources Trading was formed on January 1st, 2021 with the aim to enhance its good reputation in the supply of effectively proven and safe and environmentally-friendly timber preservatives to the timber preservation industry, both locally and to the neighbouring countries. As the exclusive distributor of Koppers Performance Chemicals and Imaspro Corporation Berhad for their range of wood preservatives in this region, we look forward to continue our proven service and products to the wood-based industry in Malaysia as well as to some of the other ASEAN Countries. These preservatives are suitable to be applied in the high pressure treatment, dip treatment and spray-ons applications. They are also suitable to be applied to glue-lines in the manufacture of plywood, MDF, particle boards and solid wood floorboards.

Our range of chemicals include fungicides/mouldicides, insecticides, termiticides and LOSP that can meet the Australian Standards & the AWPA Standards. STPC also supplies and installs timber vacuum pressure impregnation vessels. Our featured water based timber preservatives

Water based preservatives comprise of chemical ingredients that are hydrophilic, thus allowing them to dissolve easily in water then enabling a better penetration of these preservatives into the timber for a more thorough protection during the wood treatment process. They wet the timber during the treatment process, often causing dimensional variation, but once the carrier water has dried out, they have no effect on the moisture content of the wood.

Wood fungicide/mouldicide

Osmotek 23 SE

Osmotek 23 SE is designed for the protection against and control of both sapstain and mould fungi affecting feshly sawn timber controlling fungi such as Ceratocystis spp., Thielaviopsis spp., Botryodiplodia theobromae, Aspergillus, Penicilium and Cladosprium spp., Trichoderma viride, Aureobasidium pullulans, Sclerophoma spp.

Osmotek 23 SE is highly versatile and can be used for the High Pressure Treatment of rough sawn timber, Glue Line Preservative for engineered timber products plus also in immersion & spraying applications.

Wood termiticide

Determite

Determite is a termiticide specially formulated by Koppers Performance Chemicals that consists of Bifenthrin as its active ingredient. Determite is a contact insecticide and repellent that prevents wood-boring insects from attacking timber and is highly effective against all wood boring insects including the Mastotermes Darwiniensis, the most destructive termite in Australia. This chemical also conforms to the Australian Standard AS 1604.

Wood contact insecticide

Zoom TP 350

Zoom TP 350 is a contact insecticide with its a.i. Cypermethrin. Cypermethrin is a well known pyrethroid. Zoom TP 350 contains a concentration of 35% w/w Cypermethrin, and is registered to be used for wood treatment with the Pesticide Board of Malaysia.

Zoom TP 350 is highly effective against wood boring insects such as the pinhole borer and powder post beetle.

Light Organic Solvent Preservatives (L.O.S.P.)

Protim 415 Concentrate 7

Protim 415 Concentrate 7 is an effective preservative formulation designed to provide lasting protection for wood products used in external situations above ground (Hazard level H3 – Australia, H3.1 – New Zealand).

The formulation contains well proven fungicides for protection against fungal decay and an insecticide to provide lasting protection from termites and other wood boring insects. The complete formulation is applied by a controlled vacuum pressure process.

Protim 415 Concentrate 7 treated timber requires no kiln drying after treatment as the solvent evaporates from the timber over time.
